Do we worship idols? The answer may surprise you.
During the month of October, our church will hear about God’s generosity and our response as we experience our stewardship program, first: putting GOD first in living and giving, developed by author and Pastor Mike Slaughter of Ginghamsburg Church in Ohio. There will be opportunities in worship, in small groups, in youth and children’s classes.
Our Stewardship Campaign will culminate with a Commitment Service and luncheon on Sunday, October 27 beginning at 10:00 am.
Read more about this on our Education page.
Don’t forget to bring in your donations THIS SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2OTH!!
We will be collecting school supplies(pencils, paper, notebooks, erasers, colored pencils, crayons, markers, highlighters, post it notes, etc) to be distributed to the Cooper Community Center in Dorchester, MA and Salem Economic Ministries located in Northern Maine.
This is an opportunity for us to share within our conference, support existing mission projects and make a difference. The collection will be brought to the Conference United Methodist Women’s fall meeting in Milton, Ma on October 26th. Please bring your donations to church on October 6th, 13th, or the 20th so that all supplies can be transported to the fall meeting on the 26th.

The Christian Education Committee will be sponsoring a Pancake brunch right after Worship service on September 15th. There will be plain, blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes, sausage, fruit and beverages. The cost is $5 for adults and teens and $3 for children under 12. The proceeds from this delicious spread will go to the church operational budget. So, have a very light breakfast to tide you over and plan to stay awhile after church to feast and fellowship.

We will be holding our annual Tag Sale on Saturday, August 31st from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. So, start cleaning out those attics, garages, basements and sheds and bring your unwanted, unused but good condition items to the church. We would prefer to have items delivered between August 25th and August 29th. If you need to bring them before that date, please check in at the office for direction to the classroom where items will be stored. We are sorry, but we cannot accept TV’s, computers, monitors, air conditioners or other large appliances. Disposal of these items when they do not sell is much too expensive.
Members who would like to help out on the day of the sale or with set up and pricing on Thursday or Friday should contact Joanna Page or watch for sign up clipboards at church. We hope you will come on down on August 31st with your friends and neighbors for some fabulous finds! Remember, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”!
