What a Holy Week it has been!
Saturday, preceding Holy Week: Soup Fest for Imagine No Malaria
We gathered to eat delicious soup, chili and stew to benefit our Sunday School mission
project. To top it off we enjoyed some great entertainment from Dave Hamelin (thank you to Dave for filling in at the last minute for Sam who was ill).
Palm Sunday
A wonderful service celebrating Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem with an uplifting message from our new CT/Western MA District Superintendent, Rev. David Calhoun.
Tuesday, Hope’s Place
A delicious corned beef and cabbage meal was served with the help of this happy group
from Easthampton Savings Bank.
Dinner was followed by an interesting presentation on healthy aging by Statia Cantin.

Wednesday, Lenten Study: Renegade Gospel
This has been a challenging study for many of us that has us questioning our priorities in our lives and wondering if we are collecting enough “dust on our sandals” from following Jesus. Are we truly followers or are we merely volunteers?!
Thursday, Maundy Thursday
A beautiful service of love with the sharing of the bread and cup as Jesus shared it with his disciples on that night of the Last Supper. Thank you to our chancel choir for their beautiful offerings of music. The service was followed by our Prayer Vigil with individuals keeping watch throughout the night in a time of prayer and meditation.
Good Friday
The bell tolled at 3:00 PM recognizing the death of Christ.
We gathered again in the evening for a solemn service with meditations on the Seven Last Words of Christ spoken from the cross. This was a very powerful and memorable service with individuals speaking from deep in their hearts on what these words mean to them. We went out into the darkness to await the coming celebration.
