Sunday School is Coming Soon!

Sunday SchoolOur teachers are excited to begin a new year of Sunday School with a brand new curriculum. Classes for children (age 3 through high school) and adults will start on September 13, 2015 at 9 AM.  Parents must register each child every year.  Registration forms will be available in fellowship hall beginning on Sunday, September 6.  We hope you’ll join us!

Adult ClassOur adult class also meets at 9 AM on Sunday morning.  You can find us in the Collis Room (just past the pastor’s office).  We will be studying Jesus’ “wisdom parables” in the Gospels.  Although this is a continuation of last year’s study of the wisdom literature of the Old Testament, Jesus brings a new perspective to the wisdom of life–both in his day and all succeeding days, including ours.  The format is listening to an expert in DVD format followed by discussion.  Come and learn and discuss the relevance of Jesus’ teachings for today!

G-Force: Vacation Bible School 2015

We invite all children to get ready to experience God’s unstoppable love at the G-Force Adventure Park Vacation Bible School! The fun begins on Monday, August 3rd and ends on Friday August 7th.  On Monday through Thursday, VBS takes place from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and on Friday we end at about 12:45 p.m. after our closing celebration.

The adventures include Bible story fun, creative crafts, hands-on mission work, science, and great music. To be a part of all the excitement at G-Force VBS, stop by or call the
church office at 323-7584 to register (Wed – Friday 9:30 -12:30), send in a 2015 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLREGISTRATION FORM or you can visit the church’s VBS website and register there.  Children age three through sixth grade are welcome to join us for this fun week.  A gift from a generous donor makes it possible for us to offer this program at no cost but we only have room for 36 children so don’t delay, register today!

Giving treeThank you to everyone who took a tag from the Giving and Mitten tree! We did great! 28 out of 30 tags have gone home with someone. Two boys are left if you would like to participate. Mittens, gloves, hats and scarves can be brought in anytime through the end of the month. Place them on the tree or in the basket underneath. Gifts are due on December 14th (unwrapped please).

Sunday November 2, 2014 Service

This week’s service included a wonderful message on Gratitude, the choir sang “Sing a New Song” and there was a baptism!   A busy Sunday at Hope!

So Blessed!

children's choirWe have felt so blessed recently to hear our new Children’s Choir at two of our services.  The girls have been working hard to learn their songs under the direction of Mary Ellen Bracey and did an awesome job both weeks.  Their first appearance, when they sang A Lenten Love Song, featured Natalie Martinez singing a solo verse in Spanish.  Their Easter selection included solo verses from Paige Nally and Tabitha Genholt, two very talented young ladies.  We are so looking forward to hearing what beautiful music they have in store for us on the week of our Sunday School Celebration!
